Collab with the Collective
Real talk: collaboration is our love language, so we are hype AF that you’re interested in bringing our business together and potentially making something dope.
We know you’re busy, so instead of boring you with a bunch of information that you probably already know, we’ll get down to the nitty-gritty. First a couple of ground rules:
We are a collective of writers, which means you will partner with all of us and there is no guarantee that you will only work with one writer unless that is explicitly discussed in your meetings.
We only partner with BPIOC, queer, disabled or woman-owned businesses.
We do not offer discounts on collaborations
We do not offer referral fees for the time being.
We will require a contract for any collaborations in order to protect both your company and ours.
If all that makes sense and you’re still on-board–great! There are three ways to potentially work with us.
As a separate entity:
This is usually the simplest way–separate contracts, separate timelines, separate invoices, separate onboarding calls–but we invite you into our Trello boards and join your workspaces in order to create work that is cohesive. Two separate businesses working on one project.
As a go-to partner:
For this option, we bring you on as a partner. Together we’ll create partnered proposals and services packages for clients looking for additional services beyond copy. We’d also create joint contracts, joint workspaces, joint timelines and joint payment plans. Both companies have full access to the client, but Oxford Comma serves as the main point of contact.
As a contractor:
This option is for those who would like to offer copywriting services to their clients but do not have the scope or financial flexibility to bring on a writer full-time yet. For this option, Oxford Comma functions as a contractor for your company, opposed to working directly with the client, and you’d bake our pricing, our contract and our three-week copy turnaround timeline into your offers.
If you are interested in this option, you will be responsible for checking and ensuring our availabilities (prior to making any client commitments), and all payments that are due to Oxford Comma and we will have minimal interaction with your clients.
Lastly, contractor collaborations are not eligible for our payment plans and must be paid in full prior to the start of the project.
Sound good? Let’s chat.
